I've been looking forward to obtaining a copy of this book from the moment I knew of it's existence. It lives up to the expectations. From the quick referencing of formulae and tolerances to the grading of steels and their compositions.
Pros
The whole book is a pro

This is hands down the best quick reference guide I could find as a student in Mechanical Engineering. This is so useful for engineers, machinists, and fabricators. I'll be looking at the other black books to supplement this.

quite handy to have in the shop.
Pros
Has stuff that Google won't find any more (the GOOG has become a land of clickbait and embedded ads; too many sites now make you create an account just to see something as simple as a tap drill table - this book is all meat and no adverts.
Cons
Could use a G-code summary, copper wire ampacity, and polar graph paper and log graph paper pages

It's so hard to find general information and charts for inserts or turning tools in one place. Everyone has specific ones for their tools but not generic information if you have tools of every shape and color under the sun. Having all this info with real depicted representations makes it so easy to finally identify everything with all the serial numbers being gone ages ago.
Pros
Easy to read and full of applicable and invaluable information.
Cons
None

I got the pocket sized version and I love it. I appreciate how you can add tabs to the sections you find relevant with the included stickers. I rely on googling for a lot, but for some things, it's so much easier to look at a book.
Pros
Well designed, easy to read, good illustrations
Cons
Spiral bound which is nice to lay flat, but sometimes isn't as durable.

I’ve had this book since I was an apprentice in the early 80’s. Been a very handy resource.
Pros
Robust construction and convenient to throw in the tool box or drawer.
Cons
Hasn’t got all the information I might like to have, in particular welding, but I guess it would be encyclopaedic size if it had everything.

I bought this book for drill speeds and drill/tapping size.
So pleased I get a free taping chart.
Thanks. However I only found that page at the back of the book with that info by accident while looking for contact details, so I could write and ask for permission to get a PDF or other printable copy of the drill speed chart and the tapping size chart so I could print and laminate to put on the wall of my new workshop.
I have been unable to find a printable drill speed chart anywhere including online.
So could I get the PDF of page 56
