I have been using the Engineer's BlackBook for close to a year. I am a manufacturing engineer in a train production factory and the book is a great resource to solve non-conformances and prepare re-work procedures. It has helped me prepare anything from designs, to tooling routing and pathing, surface finishing, and setting up work stations.
Pros
Concise, all in one resource for a multitude of cross-discipline information.
Cons
Some additions that would be helpful:
1. Welding symbols, welder types, spool information, etc
2. Types of additive manufacturing (3D printing), pros and cons of each
3. Female adult physical dimensions in addition to male (5th to 95th percentile)
4. fatigue and fracture types, causes, and cases (images for investigation)
5. lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, wastes, etc) and six sigma concepts

This book is actually pretty awesome. It has a concise list for quick references on just about anything you could need out in the field. I love the color, detail and quick explanations of this book. The downside is: you have to put your own page tabs in. This takes about 20 minutes or so to get it perfect. I love the book overall and have it at work with me when I need to take a gander.
Pros
Concise lists, excellent illustrations, easy to navigate.
Cons
One must put their own marker tabs in.

Perfect Size Reference book
October 25, 2021
By: Zack Venable (Florence, United States)
Comments
The book is very well organized and easy to understand. I have recently taken a design engineering position and this will be a great resource to reference often.
Pros
Large print book is the perfect size.
The pages are coated with a water/oil resistant coating that makes them easy to flip.
The pictures/diagrams make the formulas and call outs easy to understand.
The taps that are included make it easy to place what I want on there and leave off the ones I don't intend on referencing.
Cons
I had to open every individual page in order to release it from the previous page. It looks like the machine used to punch to binding holes was not very sharp when it got to this book.
A few pages had mistakes such as random lines that were printed or small wrinkles in the pages.

I had the original edition when I did my apprenticeship and I have now brought the Metric Bench top edition. It is great to see how much information has been added over the years. An invaluable resource that should be part of everyone's tool box.
Pros
Benchtop edition is great fo older eyes, Well presented information with good charts and diagrams, love the low glare laminated pages. much better than getting differing information from google.
Cons
Would have been nice to have Model Engineer (ME) threads included.
