Large Work Bench Edition

Large Work Bench Edition - 3rd Edition
Even though they took away the gage and added clothing to the engineer man on the cover, I figured I'd take a shot at having this book on my desk as a quick reference. There is a lot of handy information within. You may need to overlook an odd sentence or an error here and there. Either way, at the end of the day, it's a neat book to have at your disposal.
Pros
-Lots of general information at your fingertips.
-Full color.
-Pages seem durable and easily wipe clean.
-Anti-glare works nicely under a shop light.
-Looks good on the desk (makes you look official).
-Large Work Bench Edition is easy to read and handle.
-Charts and images make it very convenient.
-The "Lay Flat Format" keeps your spot.
Cons
-I question how true "Actual Size" statements are with varying copy sizes.
-Page 50 calls out "HSS Step Drill" twice when on is a countersinking drill bit.
-The lack of a drill bit gauge is saddening; especially at the cost.
-A few errors with formulas and other references here and there.
-Heavy on some subjects while light on others.
-Google is typically a faster solution.

Real handy to have in the shop, its got all the formulas and tables I need.
Pros
The best tool for decoding turning inserts I've ever used.
Cons
The section on sharpening HSS bits on page 68 should be moved to next to the turning formulas or carbide inserts, I can never find it when I need it. Also the third edition doesn't come with a drill guage.
Great Product!!

Great product! This book has everything I’ve needed to advance through my fabrication apprenticeship.
Pros
With so much knowledge all in a pocket-sized book, it’s made my job a million times easier.
Cons
It would be great if once purchasing the book you also had access to a digital copy as well, as I often leave my copy in the top draw of my toolbox at work and wish I’d had an extra copy when I tackle some extra jobs around home.
Staggering knowledge.

Must have book for amateurs and professionals alike
Pros
Detail on cutting tools is handy for those of us not on the machines every day
Cons
Some redundant content given the advent of calculators, would be good to see it replaced with a few basic speeds and feeds etc.
Fantastic
