This is a great general shop and field reference and is a grate pair with the pocket/desk reff. This has more machining and manufacturing information.
Pros
-lots of metric/imperial conversions
-boiled down macheing data (insert tooling guide, simple thread cutting data)
-
Cons
-none

This book has everything an entry level engineer needs to succeed.
Pros
Includes charts and tables describing all the necessary conversions to make hand calculations faster and more efficient. Don't have to spend timing scouring the web to find one dimension when the book has easy labels to flip too and find what you need.

Ideal size for the home shop . Would recommend!
Pros
Great size for the home/hobby shop. Coated pages resist staining.
Cons
The content seems randomly placed in the book as opposed to having specific sections dedicated to related topics which makes searching for information more tedious. Related to organization, I appreciate that the manufacturer included content tabs but having more blank tabs would have been nice to have.

Good engineering reference book with lots of good information
Pros
Easy to read and very workshop friendly, page easy to clean and stay open on the page you are using. It will cover most of your workshop needs. I live in england and we use both the metric and imperial systems here so the both sets of information and conversion charts are very useful
Cons
No information on welding, for types of setting for different material and thinkness.

Excellent book from a fabrication standpoint
Pros
- Great for engineers, designers and machinists that have a focus on fabrication. I have used this for fabrication drawings and this is very easy to navigate and use.
- Useful introduction to metal fabrication for hobbyists and home projects, especially if you have a metal lathe
- Lots of practical and useful information on how to manufacture, general material specifications and metalworking techniques
- Great shop alternative to Machinery's Handbook - small, tough construction, lay flat design, etc.
- Note pages are handy
Cons
-Limited fastener and thread information, but I suppose if you do enough of this you can get the fastener black book
-Some information is antiquated (sin, cos and tangent charts can be done on a cheap calculator or cell phone app instead)
-Some redundancy on topics
-Would be nice if a page or two of general science or simple engineering equations were incorporated for engineers and designers using this book

I'm writing this review in comparison to the german "Tabellenbuch". I've bought the Large Workbench Edition of the Engineers Black Book. Since then I was looking up more and more things using it. It turns out to be way easier to navigate and a lot tougher than the german "counterpart".
I'm not sure but this is a really small complaint and some other countries or fields of work might see this in an different light but: I personally prefer N/mm^2 over HPa (for example when it comes to tensile and yield strength of bolts). Not going to use this as a Con since they both are practically the same.
All in all one of the best purchases I've ever made when it comes to the topic of machining things.
Pros
Quick-and-easy-to-find-stuff reference book. Since I'm not a pro in all the things I do in my home shop I often learn some new things enen though I often was looking for something different. The structure of the book makes it easy to read even while working on something, the color coding helps a lot, the way the tables and pictures are done even more so. The pages are rugged and easy to clean in case I touch them with oily fingers, even fast "browsing" doesn't seem to damage them at all.
Cons
In my case some of the pages were not properly cut so they stuck together or haven't been cut completly. They were either sticking together at the ring binding or weren't cut right in the lower right corner. Not too much of an hassle since I have sharp knifes but it's still somewhat of and dissapointment seeing how well everything else in this book is made.
The reason for having the Thread Pitch Gage included with the Fastener Black Book but not Drill Sharpening Gage with the Engineers Black book is beyond me. I ordered it seperatly and used it several times now. But why?

Great Handy Little Book
Pros
Nearly Everything you need in home workshop without having to spend a fortune on machinery hand book
Cons
As a engineer for many year and reference to machinery handbook I've found this much better than Zeus as quick reference , I was told about this little book by many model engineers working in home workshops so purchased one as many model engineers have ,and the one thing missing is ME taps ,drill, sizes etc big shame ,please add in next addition,to complete the book for the home workshop

A pretty handy reference. It's apparent that a lot of thought went into creating this book.
Pros
Great paper, love the lay-flat binding, and I love that you provide index stickers. Contains a lot of information without being too lengthy.
Cons
I would've preferred fewer pre-printed index stickers in exchange for more blanks so that I could index more of my own personal most-used sections. My book had several mis-punched pages in the middle that aren't captured in the wire binding - mind your QC.
