I am a retired mechanical engineer. In retirement I built a small hobby machine shop. In my working life I did little hands on work so I had time to leaf thru Machinery's Handbook, but now I want answers fast so I can fire up the lathe or mill. Engineer's Black Book perfectly fulfills this need. The information contained seems to be what I'm looking for 99% of the time and is easily located.
Pros
Mosted needed information in a shop environment, Laminated pages, Fold flat binding. Large size available.
Cons
For my usage, NO cons!
great resource

Pros
Quick resource for many applications without having to look it up on the internet.
Cons
Wish it had feeds and speeds for machining

Love the layout of the book. The non glare finish on the pages is excellent and definitely grease proof. I'm less than 6 months into an engineering Apprenticeship and this book has proved to be very helpful for a few of my units I've been working on
Pros
Glare Proof, Grease proof, lays flat on a surface or table, fits in my pocket perfectly, has most of the information I need without having to try googling stuff I'm not sure of
Cons
As someone else has mentioned, there's no feeds/speeds for different types of materials

A fantastic resource which I know will become one of the most-used tools in my workshop.
Pros
Clear format, comprehensive coverage of genuinely useful data. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into the design, with grease and tear proof pages and a lie-flat spiral binding.
Cons
None.

This thing is a fantastic reference and sure beats having to drag out that monster Machinery Handbook
Pros
Most often used data and much easier to use than the old industry work horse.
Cons
If I would change anything it would be some guidance on which page to place the index tabs that are included.
Disappointing narrow approach

Likely it is technically very useful, however extremely disappointing after decades of effort to recognise women in engineering that the pronoun "he" is used extensively and the Adult Physical Dimensions exclude women (one tiny reference). This is the kind of thing that alienates young women joining our field.
Pros
Technical content
Cons
Old fashioned approach to the industry
Great book

Excellent reference book. Extremely handy. Well planned and layer out
Cons
The spiral/spring binding could be a bit better. It causes the pages to be a little difficult to turn
