All I can say is WOW! This book has everything you need to know for working with the steel industry, from mechanical fitters through to engineers, this has a lot of useful information.
Pros
Can't fault at all, it is clear and easy to understand and I absolutely love that the thought has gone into making the book out of a tear and stain free material. As a Maintenance Supervisor working with Fitters, Machinists and Welders, this has all I need to know to assist a safe and top quality product.
Cons
Not so much cons/negatives, but more suggestions for adding content.
1) I would love to see more content to assist technical drawing and drafting. Content such as symbols, technique and keyboard shortcuts would be of great interest to people.
2) information and formulas to assist in creating geometric templates for pipe fitting, such creating templates in order to cut spigots for 'Y' or 'Tee' sections for both small and larger scale pipes.
3) Information about fittings, hoses and tube for hydraulics and pneumatics and formulas for working out pressures and cylinders etc.
4) Bit of information about working with energy, forces and loads.
5) Expand a little further on the steel size and weight section, by adding in types of RHS, Angle Steel, 'C' sections, 'I' beam etc.
Again, thank you for all your hard work and dedication in creating such an amazing reference guide to cater to the steel industries.
Add welding/brazing gas and gas mix tempertures

Very useful. I believe that a temperature chart for soldering, brazing and welding gases would be useful. Both with and without oxygen and other mixes.
Pros
Concise and fairly comprehensive. Rarely have to look elsewhere for other information
Cons
None.

I'm a hobbyist who recently got into machining. I've collected a few books but this is the one I'm always reaching for. I use it often to reference drill & thread sizes, but has also come in handy for a number of other things I never expected (from V-belt dimensions to ID'ing carbide inserts)
Pros
Very information dense, pages are reasonably durable
Cons
The index could be more robust; sometimes hard for me to find a topic. Would be really nice if a few pages of speeds & feeds were added for common metals/alloys.
I did find a typo in the 3rd Ed. Inch version: pg 47 for Metric Special Pitch M12x1.5 lists a tap drill size of 29/64". This is incorrect; it should be 13/32". I emailed a EBB but didn't receive a response and no updates posted for the book.

Large Print Engineer's Black Book
January 28, 2020
By: Douglas Bollinger (Mt. Holly Springs, United States)
Comments
Compared to my initial edition pocket sized Black Book, the 3rd edition Large Print is a nice upgrade. While you lose some portability, the large size is simply more pleasant to use at the work bench and contains additional information.
Pros
Several nice upgrades on common but frequently used charts: decimal equivalents, thread cutting. Now has charts for retaining rings and o-rings. Still full color with coated paper and lay-flat spiral binding.
Cons
On Page 102, the V-Belts Cross Section Dimension Chart is incorrect, ie 1" <> 1" . Looks like they enlarged the pocket sized page for the Large Print Edition and the belt cross sections are not actual size.
